The difference may not be massive, but the results were consistent all time.
In the Ryzen 9 3900X processor, the performance didn't matter much as the results were the same for both 4 modules and 2 modules.
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey [DX11]
The test results of the game Assassin's Creed: Odyssey [DX11] was intriguing for the testers. There was an increase in both the processor version of Intel and AMD when using the 4 modules.
The Intel Core i9-9900K performance had a boost of up to 7% in the 4 modules over to the 2 modules. On the other hand, the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X showed a performance boost of 5% in the 4 modules compared to the 2 modules.
Far Cry New Dawn [DX11]
In the Intel 9900K, there was a 1% low-performance rate, and the performance was boosted by 9% in the 4 modules. However, there was no difference in the Ryzen 9 3900X system, but it was consistently a few frames faster in the 4 modules.
World War Z [Vulkan]
When the DIMM slots were fully populated, there were performance gains in World War Z. The Intel Core i9-9900K was up to 10% faster, while the Ryzen 9 3900X was up to 9% faster. These gains are fairly significant, getting well above 150 fps rate.

Under these testing conditions, the Core i9-9900K started to reach the RTX 2080 Ti limits. In the previous version of DDR4-3000 CL 16, there was a 10% boost with 4 modules that reduced to 6% with the faster memory.
In a dual-channel system, four memory modules can bring slight performance improvements in certain instances. It also has to be noted that four modules can restrict memory functions for the same timings and frequency achieved in just two modules.
